I’m sure we’ve all seen the countless Tik Tok videos of people frequenting certain skin clinics in South Korea, but I’m not easily fooled by marketing. I like to do my own research before checking out a place and read customer reviews. I found JFeel clinic a few years ago when I first decided to have my first invasive facial treatments. They are located in Hongdae, right off Hongik University so it’s pretty central to where I was staying and very easy to get there using the metro. Most importantly, I love that I was able to book an appointment by messaging them on the Kakeo app (and yes, they speak English). Their website is: https://jfeeldermatology.com/index.php?idx=c631180dc85750/c631181378577d
HOW TO GET TO JFEEL
As I mentioned above, I either take the metro or if I’m tight on time I’ll take a taxi. For some reason Google Maps and South Korea have beef, so if you’d like to take the metro and need directions, you’ll need to download Naver Maps. It’s the Korean version of Google Maps (but, better). When you get 166 Yanghwa-ro, Mapo-gu, you’ll walk into a gray commercial building and find an elevator. You’ll then take that elevator to the 7th floor, where you will see the JFeel office. Treatments are done on the 5th floor, but you will check into the 7th floor first.
My first time there, I had a consultation with the doctor and a translator where they listened to my skin concerns and gave me recommendations. I love that they don’t push any treatments on you and really let you make your own decisions. After you pick your treatments, they then take photos of your face through a regular camera and then a high tech device that actually scans your face skin deep. I thought this was pretty cool as I’ve never seen technology like this anywhere else in the world!
TREATMENTS I HAD DONE
I did an aqua peel, which is their version of a Hydrafacial. This was 55,000 korean won, which is equivalent to $40 US dollars. So cheap, right?! I also did a type of radio frequency microneedling, which they call “secret laser” and a little botox. The secret laser was meant to benefit aging sking, acne scars and overall helps the skin produce more collagen. The price for that was 275,000 korean won, which is about $200 US dollars. Now, I don’t normally like needles, but they did numb my face before the treatment began. They placed a numbing cream for over 30 minutes to ensure I wouldn’t feel a thing. As for the botox, I had heard rumors about South Korea having the most affordable botox, but the prices were truly unbelievable. They don’t charge per unit, rather per area. I got my chin and crows feet done and the total cost was 88,000 korean won aka $64 US dollars!! They offer various brands of botox and I chose the “higher end” one, which I believe was from Germany. They recommended that one because they said it’ll last longer. The botox lasts about 4-6 months on me, so they were right.
The total time spent here ranges from 1.5-2.5 hours, depending on how busy they are and how many treatments you get done. I also recommend getting your treatments done towards the end of your trip 😉
Below is my skin directly after my secret laser treatment (skin will be very red and sensitive the rest of the day) and the following pic is me the next day. My skin felt smooth, plump and only slight redness was left. Overall, I highly recommend JFeel clinic and their treatments.

Now if you get hungry after a long beauty day, I highly recommend walking over to Bebab Bibimbap Korean restaurant in Hongdae. They have some of the best bibimbap I’ve ever had! They’re also vegan and vegetarian friendly for those with dietary restrictions.
Here’s another pic exactly one week after my JFeel Clinic treatments. Here my skin is fully healed, smooth and plump as can be.

I hope you all get a chance to go Seoul searching 😉 and treat yourselves to the best treatments out there! xo
